Appearance
Image Block
Type: Reference | Audience: Interface builder user
The Image block shows an image from a URL. The URL can be static (typed in by you) or dynamic (resolved from data via the Data Picker).
Settings
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Internal name shown on the canvas block label and used in builder error messages. Does not appear in the rendered output. |
| Url | The URL of the image. Supports the Data Picker. |
| Width | Optional image width in pixels. When empty, the image uses its natural width constrained by the column. |
| Height | Optional image height in pixels. When empty, the image uses its natural height. |
Render Behaviour
- The rendered
element always uses the alt textPicture. The alt is not exposed as a setting. - An empty or unresolved Url still renders the
element, but with nosrc— the browser shows it as a broken-image placeholder. Use auseDefault()fallback in the Data Picker when the source field may be missing.
Style and Visibility
The Image block uses the standard Style sub-tab (border per side with Width / Style of Solid / Dashed / Dotted / Color, plus Border Radius (px)) and Visibility sub-tab in Block Settings, the same as every other block. The Image block does not expose font controls or a Background Color — those rows are hidden from its Style sub-tab. See Block Styles and Conditional Visibility.
